Do you need healing? Meet Dr. Haritha Chiluka!

I had a very vague idea about holistic healing techniques before meeting Dr. Haritha Chiluka, a certified Pranic Healer. There were so many doubts and biases! I wanted to try out this no-touch healing method for two reasons. First to understand how it works and second, to know whether it works at all.

And this curiosity made me sign up for one of her healing sessions for overall wellness. How will you heal me? I asked her. You will heal yourself, she said with a smile.

I was mentally prepared for an intense, exaggerated session of loud mantra chanting and some sort of ceremony but this was different. I just sat comfortably at a quiet place and Haritha began her healing on camera. The process was simple.

But I was not ready for the surprise after the session. She had perfectly assessed my backache though I had not mentioned I was suffering from it. And my back felt so much better after the healing!

She has impressive stories of healing people in the US as well as from India. She never forgets to mention one thing – You don’t have to be sick for healing sessions or meditation, you just need to do it for living a healthier and happier life.

Negative thoughts and emotions create blockages in our energy body, which results in disease with time. Chronic diseases often have underlying emotional causes. Using pranic healing, we can cleanse these blockages, thereby accelerating the body’s ability to heal itself, she explains.

I thought I must introduce this positive and unique lady to all my dear readers. She is doing some wonderful things for the community. Do read Haritha’s interview to know more about her and the Pranic Healing technique. Do reach out to her for a free consultation if you wish. You can also contact her if you just want to explore and experience an ancient healing method.

What made you start and learn Pranic healing technique?

I always wanted to learn meditation, especially after reading somewhere that Swami Vivekananda had a photographic memory.

But actually, a college friend introduced me to Pranic healing through a magazine article. The article talked about aura around people, and I connected with that because sometimes I saw aura (brilliant light) around some people.

Around the same time, my mother’s wound got healed by her colleague, who was a Pranic healer. My mother got interested in healing and she asked me to accompany her to a Pranic healing class. I was more interested to learn meditation but she sort of convinced me by saying that they taught meditation as well.

Anyway, we attended the first class and that’s how my love for Pranic healing started. I was very impressed from Day 1, as everything I knew or experienced had a scientific explanation. (For example, on Day 1, they informed that salt disintegrated negative energy – that’s why it’s used in Nazar Utarna. They also encouraged us to feel the energy between hands.)

Later, after studying pharmacology (I am a Ph.D. in pharmacology) which is essentially how drugs work, it became clearer that medicines do a wonderful job in reducing the symptoms but do nothing to the root of the problem. And that’s where Pranic Healing comes in. Pranic Healing is a good complementary therapy that works on energy body and eliminates the root cause of illnesses.

Can you explain how Pranic healing works on the body?

Our body has the innate ability to heal itself. Our physical body is interpenetrated by the energy body and extends beyond the physical body. Any disease first manifests in the energy body and then shows up on the physical body. Often people feel discomfort even before their body falls sick. Clairvoyantly, this is seen as grey energy.

In Pranic healing, we cleanse this energy body, and by the law of correspondence, the physical body heals.

Also, our thoughts and emotions affect our body (For example, think of a lemon and your mouth waters, watch a comedy movie you laugh.)

Conventional medicine works great for the body. But it does not address our emotions and thoughts (energy) which affect our body. If our energy is negative (due to stress, problems, situations) it creates blockages in our energy body but using Pranic healing we can cleanse these blockages.

Please tell us the process of Pranic healing?

Pranic healing is a no-touch energy healing system, it can be done in-person and distantly. I do virtual healings.

Master Choa Kok Sui, the modern founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, studied energy body, and chakras extensively for many years and he observed energetic patterns in each disease condition and gave protocols to heal like a cookbook approach.

When a person comes for healing I assess the energy body and chakras and use the appropriate protocol. I also do Pranic psychotherapy for stress, negative emotions & thoughts (fear, phobias, addictions).

Kindly share some tips for self-healing?

One of the major causes of disease is stress. According to stress researcher Hans Selye, stress is mostly emotional (anger, irritability, resentment). Sadly, many people are not even aware that they have stress and think it’s normal how they are feeling.

Meditation has great benefits in relieving stress yet many people don’t practice. When you have the right technique, it’s like a spiritual shower just as important as your daily shower for the body. My go-to is Meditation on twin hearts.

Another important aspect is that many of us hold onto anger/hurt for God knows how long but forgiveness is one of the best ways to keep our mind and body healthy. Forgiveness heals!

Also, our breath is so important and most people have the wrong breathing pattern. Consciously practice abdominal breathing (belly breathing), it rejuvenates the body instantly. Taking breath breaks during the day is more rejuvenating than a coffee break.

Kindly share your contact info. Also please tell us about your sessions.

I guide people through my program “Unleash the innate healing power” – a 6-week program that includes 1:1 healings and guided practices like an emotional detox.

Invariably everyone goes through stress, one doesn’t have to be sick to get healing. Pranic healing helps in healing physical, emotional health, relationships, and finances. I also do free weekly stress relief meditation. People can connect with me through email, Instagram or Facebook.

How the Mind avoids the ‘Just Be’ state!

The answers to all the troubling questions come when the mind is quiet. But when is the mind still? The mind does everything to take this moment ‘right here’ away from us. Past, present, future entwine! Thoughts, ideas, dreams intermix! Tendencies, work, stress compel us!

They all force us to act with an urgency – an immediate need to go somewhere else, reach something, do anything away from ‘Now’!

The paradox is the time to be still and ‘just be’ is always right ‘Now’. But we don’t have the time to be in the present! Strange.

It is all because the mind would not let us be so vibrantly, blissfully and ‘mindlessly’ alive in the present. You see, the moment we relax into the present, mind (read ego) and its stories lose hold over us. And we experience the unexplored dimension.

The workings of the mind

Undoubtedly, the mind is an important tool for existence. It is needed for survival and helps us with the practical aspects of life. But the problem begins when we start identifying and believing whatever mind says. And we think the mind is what we are. We make the mind our master not the other way round.

We believe that we cannot exist without the mind. But ancient masters point out – We can blissfully exist without the mind!

Consider mind to be just an over eager, over protective, sometimes cunning, constantly advising, over agonizing, talkative friend that can change side and become an enemy anytime.

Mind induces our negative tendencies to act superior, be superficial, jealous, hateful, depressed, agonized, angry as well as the positive tendencies to create, appreciate, explore, be affectionate, enjoy…etc

Dissection, analysis, criticism, perspective, judgement – these are the ways of the mind to help us survive in this world. It is a great tool but just that..a tool!

Now, let’s observe how the mind forces us to run away from the present…

Supposedly, I am observing a beautiful sunset. The moment I start enjoying the ethereal show, and my being aligns with what is there in the present, the mind starts its chatter.

“This sunset looks similar to what I saw last week (past). I must take a photo of it for Instagram (future). Had the clouds been darker, the scene would have been captivating (comparison). I wish my kids were here to watch this (wishful thinking). It is sad I can’t keep watching because I have chores to do (self-pity).”

Hmmm… and the NOW, and the ‘Just Be’ state vanishes. The mind takes over, and I become a puppet of the mind – happy, sad, analyzing, swaying between past and future. The moment passes, a great opportunity is lost – the opportunity to just be!

Take for example observing the same scenery without mind’s chatter – still, calm, open, present, as it is! So divinely blissful, so new, so perfect. There is no I, just what is being experienced… such moments of calmness hold immense potential…

Ancient Indian scriptures point out at ‘I’, the ego. The ego is nothing but the mind – the bad and even the good. Mind is important but we are not the mind.

Why is the ‘just be’ state important?

All the answers to our questions are there in the stillness. Because we become at one with the existence and its mystery. The ‘just be’ state allows us to be aware of our own divinity and the mysteries of existence.

And the great question arises – Who am I, if not the mind and the body?

The great Nisargadatta Maharaj gives a hint – We are not that we perceive. And we perceive our body and mind. Then who are we?

The thing is none of the masters ever give a straight answer to ‘Who am I’. We need to find out!

And the answer to this question – ‘Who am I’ is constantly hidden in the ‘now’ and in the ‘just be’ state. But will the mind let us be…? Never.

Sadly, we all have experienced this ‘just be’ state as children. It used to happen to us naturally. Every child is in that state – accepting and flowing. That’s why children are compared to god.

It happens to us even now. Occasionally, we are in touch with our divine self. We are just not aware.

A moment without the mind’s chatter is a divine experience. And we can still experience that childhood state…Meditation techniques can make it possible!

Life is meant to flow in the present, fully and gloriously. When we are ‘live’ we live.

Even the big, traumatic problems can also be resolved if we allow our true self to take over…

A few moments of calmness, in the ‘just be’ state gives more answers, clarity, wisdom and solutions than hours of mind chatter. It rejuvenates and heals…

But the catch is – we can never be in the ‘just be’ state if we are looking for anything – even solutions, bliss or peace. So, how do we do it?

How to ‘just be’?

We are already in the state but we don’t experience it because we never stop listening to the mind. Just be is just be, as it is. Natural like breath.

But we are scared to surrender and let go. We are always thinking or running. Sometimes scared to stop and experience what those moments of revelations might reveal! We are afraid we might see our wounds which are hiding deep inside us…

Also, many of us are overworked and have many chores to do. There is no time to pause, sit and just be with ourselves.

The masters say that we need to take out time for meditation only in the beginning. After that, the state comes naturally, even in chaos… integrated in everything.

How to ‘just be’? We don’t need to do anything. It is just allowing, accepting and surrendering (to the divine universal power).

The just be’ state is not about dealing with what the mind says or shows. It is just about being comfortable with everything about ourselves and around us. Allowing everything to happen, accepting everything that is happening and surrendering in the now. And knowing that all is being taken care of….

It is just about letting it be, observing everything like a movie, without engaging with it, staying aware and knowing that past or future is nothing. Present is. Even for just a moment…

It is the way to accept things as they are, and not trying to do anything, go, or reach anywhere… There is no ulterior motive. Just complete surrender to what is – is the ‘just be’ state.

Notice, how mind chatter grows louder as soon as we consciously try to be comfortable. The mind tries every trick to make us uncomfortable.

So how do we deal with the mind? The answer is – by not dealing with it at all. Nothing needs to be resolved, done or pondered upon. Just watching and staying aware..

And the strange thing about the mind is – it goes still the moment we start becoming aware of it. Just like a naughty child when caught doing some mischief, stops.

We do not need to silence the mind or do anything about it. We just need to observe it nonchalantly. It has no power without our support.

And then automatically it happens – we breathe deeply, the body goes still and we flow into the ‘just be’ state. Ah, just one moment of that… is enough! The surrender, breathing, stillness and the present…

And we realize we are already perfectly aligned to everything.

“Having never left the house, you are looking for the way home.” – Nisargadatta Maharaj

The irony is the real answers to all troubling questions come, when one is at one with ‘Now’. But we keep running from pillar to post, avoiding that which holds all the answers. Haribol!

Just a Thought – A moment of calmness…

A moment of calmness presents before you hitherto unseen things that have always been there, only you have never been aware.

Acceptance of the moment as it is…chaotic, alive…busy…perfect. Just one moment with yourself, accepting all thoughts, good or bad.. everything. Listening to sounds, vehicles, kids, utensils and the smallest click. Taking in the surrounding, hot, humid, chaotic…beautiful! And staying aware of it all, like an all-accepting observer in a new world.

And then relaxation takes over and you breathe deeply! You breathe! You just breathe.

Calmness covers you like the warm embrace of a dear long, lost friend. It has always been there, you were just not aware. When the moment of calmness passes, the clear mind focusses on only the important things for a while.

The situation stays the same, circumstances are the same, problems are the same only you start to see them little differently. And that’s all that matters!

Just a Thought – The Retreat Within!

You feel immensely empowered when you carve a retreat within yourself – the charging space that you can get back to whenever the world overwhelms you.

And you come back from it rejuvenated, relaxed and full of energy to get on with life and its challenges. And you hold the power to return to that space anytime! No expenses problems, no bookings just discipline, faith and immense will power.

And the experience – priceless!🙏🏻

Just a Thought – Rerouting

We only think about the impediments, the problems that are stopping us to expand. How about embracing the possibilities created due to those problems?

The road block may stop us from going on our familiar road but it cannot stop us from rerouting and finding a brand new path. And oh, the immense joy of discovering limitless opportunities on a path of your own finding…!

Just a Thought – The gap is the link?

When we see the glow between branches and watch the sky behind tiny clouds…when we enjoy the crevices in mountains and the moment before sunrise…

when we focus on the surface of a painting, outlines of human forms, the rest in a musical note, the space between words, the stillness joining two sounds and…the pause… linking two breaths and when we meditate in between chaos…we experience, there is something about the interval……the pause!

What is the quality of the pause, the gap? Is the gap the link to that? And why do we always ignore the gap?

Just a thought – Expand

The moment, neither in past or future, never in emotions nor even in thoughts, when I inhale and exhale rhythmically, and just be…! When I watch the trees move, cars pass and grasses sway and…I just be…! That moment is precious to me. Because there in lies the key to the new element that makes me actually see. That is when I expand and smile for no reason at all… that is when life blooms!

Just a Thought – Camera!

We try to look and behave our best if there happens to be a camera around. We instantly change our expression from frown to smile and adjust our dress to look perfect. If we spot a surveillance camera somewhere, we feel conscious of being watched and behave lawfully.

But how about the ‘witness’ camera we carry within us all the time. The observer, the beholder, the watcher is always there watching us nonchalantly. Why are we not always conscious or aware of the watcher? Wouldn’t this awareness change us to be the best version of ourselves? Would something change if the watcher is watched back by us often? And is the watcher in you the same as the watcher in me? How so?

Ponder and share your thoughts, dears.

How to ‘Just Be’!

I have heard several discourses and sermons teaching us to ‘just be’. But how to ‘just be’? I have been told miraculous physical and psychological benefits if you practice stillness. Now, with so much technology and entertainment overpowering our mind, there is not much scope of it. Is it? Stillness in chaos?

Well, recently I came across a remarkable person (He wishes to be anonymous), who showed me steps as to how to just be. I will talk about this anonymous writer some other time. But for now, here are the steps. Read slowly.

1) Initially sit calmly, in a quiet place. Once you get the knack of it you can handle even a fish market. But in the beginning, avoid disturbance. Now, close your eyes, listen to sounds around you. The clocks tick tock, humming sound of refrigerator, sounds of vehicles etc….

2) The moment you start relaxing, thoughts will come with hammers to bang your head. All past, present and future thoughts coupled with disturbing intrusive talks will crowd your mind. Hmmm…never, ever block them or react to them, they are just passing clouds. Just observe them and let go. They will pass, you’ll stay. They mean nothing.

3) Now, you are an observer, just observing yourself. Deep breaths will start coming on its own. You will relax. You are a part of larger consciousness. It will take care of you and take you in. Breathe! Breathe deeper again.

4) You will start to enjoy the process. But after sometime thoughts return, egoistical and supposedly positive ones this time. You will feel you are gaining super natural powers or great superior things will happen to you etc! Just observe them with equanimity, do not get carried away, remember you have to just be! The deceptive thoughts are taking you towards result, towards future. No, just enjoy Now! Just keep listening to the sounds….just listen to sounds. Just be! Breathe…

5) Hmmm…so, what now after ‘just be’ state? Well, nothing… nothingness! You just said hello to yourself. That’s it! This is not a result oriented practice but it does bring far better results than anything else. But try not to concentrate on the result part. Just enjoy being in Now and at peace with your surrounding, enveloped by an enormous consciousness! The consciousness will take care of you and everything. Never worry! Have you observed a baby? He is naturally a part of the larger consciousness and so are you. You just have ‘to be’! Let thoughts and disturbances come and pass, ‘just be’ for some golden moments everyday. And say – Hello, Me!

I really enjoyed learning this from my friend. Just felt like forwarding the information and sharing it with you. Love always, dears! May you, just be!

Just a Thought – You Are The Sun!

As I was doing dishes today, the Sun’s brilliance captured my attention through the kitchen window. I was mesmerized. But soon a pathetic dark cloud enveloped the Sun dimming the landscape. Disappointed, I saw more dark clouds in the horizon! They came, darkened everything, moved on, but… the Sun stayed.

I learnt, the Sun shines no matter what! Although, the clouds come and go, they do nothing to the Sun’s core. Just like our inner core, which is bright, still, luminous and joyful, and no darkness can change it! I experienced, the Sun is an outward manifestation of our inner self. It was a lovely feeling!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you, dears. May no dark cloud ever stop you from knowing that You Are The Sun!

Just A Thought – Happy Clones?

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could fire clones of a happy version of yourself across Time – in the Past, Present and Future? A clone that could appear and cheer you up in some of the gloomy memories of Past. A happy clone who could sit beside you in the Present, reassuring you as you worry about things. And the best of all – a happy clone waiting for you in the Future. Just the thought that this future clone would not let you be upset about anything and make you so relaxed, is exhilarating.

Amazing or delusional? I don’t know….but rejuvenating, Yes! Don’t you agree?

I Saw Sunset!

I was lucky enough to catch sunset through my window after a long time. Mostly I am busy or not paying attention. So many of us do not see it! We are either at the office or tied up to experience this everyday magic in the sky. I witnessed it and sat still for a while. It was a pity when the Sun folded back its rays and went down. The moment disappeared. I Caught just a teeny part of the magic and sharing my bliss! Especially for dear office goers who miss Sunset!
