Synopsis of Elephant on a Trampoline – “Since 1934, elephants are banned from jumping on trampolines at the Animal Book Park.

Children’s #Bookblogger – The Glow Show Review

I have always been an avid book reader and reviewing books gives me a chance to dive into the world of new upcoming books and learn about the authors. As a children’s books author, It is important I keep reading other books for children to fuel my own creativity and learn about what other kid-lit authors are doing. So, I am all set to review kids’ books and share my finds with you all!

Do keep checking out my blog to learn about upcoming, new, cute, vibrant and informative options for young readers. Today, I present an upcoming book – The Glow Show – a picture book about knowing when to share the spotlight

The Glow Show by Susi Schaefer (Publisher: Sourcebooks Kids) is brilliant, vibrant, heart-warming, and informative. The book is about a bioluminescent squid who is fantastic at twirling! He changes for the better in the course of the book when he learns to share his shine with friends.

I like the book because of three reasons. First, it tells a great story and has an amazing lesson. Second, young readers learn about bioluminescence and the underwater world along the way. And last but not least, the illustrations are striking and imaginative. The only thing that could have been better is a more appropriate font, font size, and color.

Go for it, if your little reader loves beautiful pictures and a great informative story! 4 Stars.

Coming Soon – Happy’s Hairy Tale – The Corona Cut

I am delighted to share a little about my upcoming children’s ebook – Happy’s Hairy Tale – The Corona Cut.

This funny dog book encourages children to accept change and find good things in new situations. The book will help kids connect to the current world scenario and help them realize – change brings opportunity! It is an inspiring and funny bedtime read for kids between 5 – 10 years old.

Blurb – Happy, the dog, loves his fancy hairstyle and hates any kind of change in life. But then, Coronavirus happens, and life changes in many ways. Happy’s favorite dog parlor closes due to the pandemic lockdown, making him anxious about his locks.

Worse still, Dad suddenly decides to cut his hair at home! Happy thinks the experiment will fail and he resists the change. What will happen to Happy’s amazing hair? Will his friends laugh at his Corona Cut? This delightful tale is all about adapting to the ‘new normal’.

I am sure it will inspire and entertain the little readers. My kids are excited about the book since it is based on Happy, our dog. I hope to release it soon on my Amazon Author Central Page. I will need your support and best wishes.

A Gift For You – Princess ebook

My Dear,

With immense pleasure I announce the publishing of my first ever book – The  Princess with Brown Teeth in ebook format. It is free and a gift to you as well as your little one. You can also read the entire book online without downloading it by clicking here (click on PREVIEW after the link opens and happy reading!). Kindly leave an honest review.

I have given my best to this book, with little professional help, utilizing every little moment I have had, away from my two kids. I have done the illustrations myself with some help.

It is far from being perfect but I am happy that I completed it despite problems.

After becoming a mom, I entered kids’ magical world and saw wonder and creativity here. Many stories would enter my thoughts and leave but one perfect morning ‘The Princess with Brown Teeth’ came and thankfully stayed on. I just had to write it.

Although, I completed the book last month itself, I had difficulty letting it go.  That is why I could not summon the courage to publicise it earlier than now. I had the same set of feelings when my son started kindergarten! But now I am leaving it in your hands!

I always wanted to be an author and finally managed to self publish a book with the grace of Krishna!

Many of my friends on WordPress are already famous published authors who know far more than me. I humbly request you to point out at my mistakes for constructive criticism.

I sincerely hope that you and your little ones love this book as much as my little ones do.

Love always,

Shivangi
